Life is a journey… what a cliche`… but true nevertheless. My journey has led me to an eclectic dive. I once heard a line in a movie, it went like this: ‘live your life spherically, in all directions, then, things will come your way’. It sounds dreamy yes? It captures images of flow, fun, excitement, laughter, adventure.
Living spherically, it turns out: can be traumatic.
WAIT! Yes, seriously, this IS the fun stuff page, but let me tell you how I got here…
I believe that we are all on our individual paths and that if something is right for us – it will work. If it isn’t, it doesn’t matter how much we push pull and force – it ain’t gonna happen. For me, life has been a lot of delays, stuckness (apparently), loss and crap. Dunna worry, that’s as far as I will go here…. that’s what my blog is for (take a dive it’s all in there or is coming) … but here’s the punchline:
If a path is our path, our own individual fingerprint, like the beauty and intricacy of a single magnified snowflake… then… then… at some point: the fun must out.
So for me… this fun stuff: music, drama, radio, singing, writing, audio, performance, stand-up: would not have happened had it not been for the spherical traumas that happened before.
It is, quite simply: Alchemy.
I want you to know, that even if you are deep deep down there in the pain.
Trust that not only is this your path…. but that once you are through the pain: Alchemy must happen.
From this your fun stuff emerges and… and… excuse my arrogance:
But just like that inner strength you have that is like no other’s – your fun stuff will be, well:
On steroids.
