The exhaling soil fizzed
As I took a walk in the local park,
After the scorched Earth:
The rains came.
I walked softly, lightly, open and listening.
To the soil.
Yes, the soil.
It was not my intention, I was just walking you see,
But the soil spoke to me,
Sizzling, giggling, smiling:
Exhaling.
As the soil exhaled, the trees bloomed,
Big, green, vibrant.
The reeds that were once dying in the swamp,
Returned to their fullness of green.
As the frogs leaped and the butterflies blossomed,
The earth exhaled once more.
In Love,
IAmMattVC xx
